Pontypridd Cricket Club
      Cricket training and nets

Cricket nets take place outdoor in Ynysangharad Park on Wednesdays 6.30pm throughout the season ... everyone welcome, including existing, new, junior (if eligible for senior cricket and keen) players and friends/players from other local cricket clubs who want to come along and try their hand at this great team and individual sport. The club encourages other clubs to use the facilities (with an appropriate level coach in attendance), and in recent years this offer has been taken up by Abercynon CC and before that GE Nantgarw CC.

Junior training and nets take place immediately before the seniors at 5.30pm at the same venue, Ynysangharad Park. Sessions are currently provided free, and all equipment is supplied. All coaches are qualified to the appropriate standard and are subject to checks under the Disclosure and Barring System (DBS), formally known as CRB checks.

The Club runs three senior Saturday South East Wales Cricket League sides, together with a Sunday (mainly cup games and friendlies) and Midweek (20/20 Rhondda League) team. We cater for youngsters' cricket (boys/girls). Our u9 team plays softball festivals on Sunday mornings, and the u11 team play Cardiff and Vale Junior League games on Monday evenings, so if you are interested in playing there's plenty of opportunities to take up. Just make yourselves known to anyone at our training evenings.

We also run the ECB initiative 'All Stars' for those aged 5-8, at Pontypridd Rugby Club on Friday evenings at 5.30pm. Go online to sign up ...
